Ohbot is an eight motor programmable robot head. You can program Ohbot using blocks or Python programming languages to make it move, speak and sense. Actually with a bit of ingenuity you can program Ohbot to do almost anything that an actual human head can do! Ohbot needs to be connected to a computer via the supplied USB cable to work. These instructions help guide you through setting up your robot. Please read the safety instructions before getting your robot our of the box. Safety
Adult Supervision Required This device is not a toy and is intended for users aged 8+ under adult supervision only.
Motor Movement Motors are low torque and designed to deform under excess force. However, do not impede motor movement or touch moving parts during operation to avoid minor injury or damage.
Entanglement Risk Motors rotate parts only up to 180°, minimizing entanglement risk. Still, keep hair, cords, and loose clothing clear of moving components.
Fire Hazard – Electrical Short Do not place the device on metallic or conductive surfaces, expose it to moisture, or allow contact with conductive items during use. A fuse will cut power in the event of a short, but proper setup is essential.
Burn Risk – Board Misuse Use only supported peripherals and connect compatible devices to GPIO connectors. Discontinue use if the PCB is damaged. Operate in a well-ventilated area; if enclosed, do not cover the case.
Sharp Edges All parts are designed to avoid harm, but care should be taken around flat-cut linkage wires and moving parts. Handle components with care to prevent mechanical injury.
Electrical Shock & Power Supply Connect only to a PC USB power source or an external power supply that complies with local standards. Peripherals and cables should also meet relevant safety certifications and offer adequate insulation.
Privacy & Data Security Camera and microphone can be disabled in the Ohbot App. Data handling via Microsoft Azure and OpenAI GPT APIs is secure, encrypted, and compliant with GDPR and COPPA. No personal data is stored or used for AI training.

- Connect one end of the USB C cable to Ohbot Ohbrain circuit board and the other to your computer either directly to a USB C socket or to an A socket via the adaptor.
- Start OhbotApp2
- If you are asked to elect your robot on startup select Ohbot 2.2
